Ameren hired Spirtas Wrecking Company to demolish the former Unilever manufacturing buildings at their Pagedale, MO property.

To plan for later site redevelopment, regional public utility Ameren hired Spirtas Wrecking Company to demolish the former Unilever manufacturing buildings at the Pagedale, MO property.

The project was completed between the fourth quarter of 2016 into early 2017.

Approx. 525,000 square feet of manufacturing building space was demolished.  The project scope included the asbestos abatement and other regulated material handling required to address existing conditions.

Demolition methodologies included conventional mechanized demolition of three 2-3-story wings of the complex, and implosive felling of the complex’s concrete and steel tower section.
